History
The window was originally installed in the Carnegie Library, but was moved to its current place in the Ottawa public library when the Carnegie was demolished in 1973. Shakespeare appears alongside Dickens, Tennyson, Thomas More and Archibald Lampman.
The piece was commissioned by George Perley, the then building owner, and Andrew Carnegie.
