History
The artwork is the size of a full statue, but shows only the head of the playwright in detail, tapering off from the shoulders in a rough, cylindrical shape.
Conceived by Lia Olguta Vasilescu.
The statue was unveiled as part of the 2014 Shakespeare festival celebrations in Craiova. See more at the festival website.
